Opis warsztatu:
The workshop covers the Fund Accounting basics starting with the NAV definition that is used for the Fund Unit price calculation – the key information for investors being either unit holders or considering purchasing units in the fund. It explains all major components included in the NAV Production process: Market Value of Investments, Subscriptions / Redemptions, Income, Expenses etc. Additionally, it highlights some risks related to Fund Accounting, typical issues, ways to mitigate them and what happens if a Fund Accountant produces incorrect NAV. Later on, there is a practical exercise for the participants to calculate a fund price. The session ends with a slide ‘what happens to NAV calculated by me’.
